Russell Westbrook Returns to Dominate the Hapless Knicks
Russell Westbrook played his first game since breaking his hand in October. Wearing a brace on his shooting hand, Westbrook immediately went back to being Russell Westbrook. The Thunder guard scored 32 points on just 17 field goal attempts to go along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds. The Thunder are now 5-12 with Kevin Durant close enough to returning that it was worth noting he was not playing last night. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that the Thunder’s 105-78 win was over the Carmelo Anthony-less New York Knicks. There is a lot of season left, but the Thunder have to overtake 5 teams to sneak into the 8th spot in the West.
