Bo Pelini was fired by Nebraska on Sunday according to numerous reports. Pelini went 67-27 during his seven seasons with the school. Nebraska beat Iowa on Friday for its ninth win of the season. The Cornhuskers have won nine games every season since 2008 but that apparently isn’t enough. Nebraska hasn’t won a conference championship since 1999.

Earlier this month Ty Duffy listed Pelini and Nebraska as one of college football’s seven most-stagnant coaching positions.

Speculation now turns to whom Nebraska will turn to to replace Pelini.
