The NBA’s new showtime: The 2014-2015 Golden State Warriors. Look at Stephen Curry practicing behind-the-back dribbles and passes in the middle of a 4th quarter blowout. A drubbing of the Pelicans by 27 Thursday was Golden State’s 11th straight victory. They’re an NBA-best 16-2, have the best backcourt in the league, and everyone’s healthy (so far!).

The Warriors lead the NBA in field goal percentage, assists, and point differential (10.9). Guess who is first in the NBA in defensive efficiency? The Warriors (94.7). No longer a defensive pushover, they also lead the league in blocked shots.

If you want to take a quick memory jog: Remember last summer when the Knicks job was open and Phil Jackson came hard after Steve Kerr? Then the Warriors fired Mark Jackson. Steve Kerr was a smart man for waiting to pass on the Knicks (currently 4-16) for the Warriors.

There’s a challenging week ahead for MY Golden State Warriors: at Chicago Saturday, vs. Houston Wednesday, at Dallas Saturday. No way they go 3-0 in those games … right?

In case you’re wondering, Anthony Davis, who has been the best player in the NBA through six weeks, went for 30 points (14-of-19), 15 rebounds, three blocks, three assists and two steals in the loss to the Warriors.
