Hockey Broadcast Highlights Empty Chair on New Jersey Devils Bench

Jaromir Jagr scored his 1,772th career point on Monday in his 1,500th career game. The Devils beat the Hurricanes, 2-1. During the 2nd period one of the broadcasts showed an empty chair on the Devils’ bench. They then put up a graphic reading “EMPTY CHAIR.” I have no idea why.
