Santana Moss Ejected after Jeff Triplette Reverses RG3 Touchdown to Fumble to End Half
By Jason Lisk
Robert Griffin III appeared to have scored a highlight reel touchdown as :00 was on the clock, diving for the pylon after a run. On review, he lost possession of the ball before he crossed the goal line, regained it as he was flying into the end zone, and went out of bounds (and spiked the ball). It was determined that he did not regain possession in play in time to make it a touchdown. Everyone’s favorite referee Jeff Triplette announced that it was reversed to a touchback/half over, and the teams were sent to the locker rooms.
That’s when the Washington sideline lost its mind. Head coach Jay Gruden was incensed, and Santana Moss and Pierre Garcon both went at the officials. Moss was ejected (it appears that somehow Garcon avoided being kicked out of the game).
