Texas High Schooler Makes Great One-Handed Catch in State Championship Game
By Mike Cardillo
Tren’Davian Dickson, a wide receiver from Navasota High School, did his best Odell Beckham Jr. impression during Friday night’s Texas Class 4A Division I championship game at AT&T Stadium. The one-handed catch by Dickson was significant, too, since it was the 69th touchdown pass thrown by Jeff Eppler, which set a new Texas high school record.
Dickson, has verbally committed to play at Baylor. The junior standout finished the game with four touchdown catches, extending his national record to 39 on the season. Navaosota won the game over Argyle 42-35.
Although he didn’t catch it as cleanly as Beckham did with one hand, it’s still an excellent grab.
