The Calgary Flames Scored an Extremely Unlucky Own Goal

The Calgary Flames were all set to go on a power play last night against the Vancouver Canucks so they pulled goalie Jonas Hiller to get an extra attacker on the ice. It was a good plan until Dennis Wideman’s pass caromed past its intended target and found the abandoned net.
So maybe it wasn’t a good plan after all.
Such things tend to happen during an eight-game winless streak.
