Tampa Bay Bucs Get No. 1 Pick in 2015 Draft
By Jason McIntyre
Tampa Bay secured the No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft thanks to a late collapse against the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs led 20-7 heading into the 4th quarter, and then gave up two TDs and a safety to lose, 23-20. If the Bucs had won, and the Titans had lost, Tampa would have lost the No. 1 draft pick to Tennessee.
So yes, it was a smart collapse by Tampa Bay.
Tennessee lost to Indianapolis, 27-10.
So now the Bucs have five months to decide: Do they want to take Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston 1st overall? Or trade the pick? Or go with a defender?
I’m not sold (yet) on the idea that the Titans will take a QB 2nd.
As of this post, it appears the Jaguars will draft 3rd, and then perhaps the Jets 4th.
Unless the Jets beat the Dolphins (up 34-24 in the 4th quarter), then they could slide to 6th.
