Ben Simmons, Nation's Top HS Recruit, Making a Habit of In-Game Alley-Oops to Himself

Ben Simmons, an LSU signee, is the #1 recruit in the class of 2015. In a recent game, he threw this alley-oop to himself off the backboard. (A couple weeks ago, Simmons threw another to himself, but dunked on a defender. Video below.) The self alley-oop was one of many dunks that he had in the game on his way to scoring 37.

Oregon Live has more highlights. While watching those highlights you might notice that Simmons isn’t even the tallest person on his team. While he’s AAU (or some non-school organization team) teammates with 7’5″ Tacko Fall, his high school teammate, Jean Marc Christ Koumadje is just 7’4″.

Koumadje is from Senegal and Simmons is from Australia. I wonder how they both ended up in Montverde Academy in Florida? I bet there’s a meet cute involved.
