Roy Williams Emphatically Tries to Call Timeout, Gets Technical Instead, Angrily Takes Off Suit
Roy Williams was frantically trying to call a timeout midway through the second half of last night’s North Carolina blowout win over William & Mary. While his wish for play stoppage was granted, it came in the form of a technical foul. The situation escalated enough for Williams to take off his suit in a manner which all but assured it will need dry cleaning.
After the game, the coach was still a little peeved. “I didn’t think I was dealt with fairly,” he said. “But that’s alright. Those guys have a hard, hard job.”
