Sean Payton Decides He Wants to Yell at Rob Ryan a Lot Again Next Season

Rob Ryan is “safe” and will return to the Saints next season, according to Nola.com’s Larry Holder. Frankly, this is great news for bloggers and general NFL observers who find it amusing when the defensive coordinator gets in shouting matches on the sidelines with Sean Payton. I didn’t know what I was gonna do without those next year, and am glad I don’t need to figure out a way to cope.

Changes are apparently coming elsewhere on the defensive coaching staff, and with some of the players, and the unit will need to vastly improve next year. This past season, the Saints defense ranked 2nd-to-last in yards per game, 5th-to-last in total points, and 5th-to-last in takeaways.
