Kyle Shanahan "Parting Ways" With Browns

Kyle Shanahan has “parted ways” with the Browns, according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports. Gone too will be quarterback coach Dowell Loggains. Shanahan’s axing (or whatever you want to call it) comes one day after news leaked of friction between himself and Browns management. Reading between the lines of Mary Kay Cabot’s story, which credited the offensive coordinator for the Browns’ slightly-above-average league ranking in offense through week 11 with no accountability for its then falling off a cliff, it did not take much detective work to figure out that Shanahan’s camp sourced the report.

Shanahan reportedly had a head coaching interview scheduled with the Bills, and is said to be under consideration as an offensive coordinator as part of a package deal with his father for multiple teams. As for the Browns, we’ll all be looking to see if a new offensive staff is able to salvage Johnny Manziel.
