Jeff Green is set to be acquired by the Grizzlies in a three-team trade (Woj and Marc Stein are both reporting its imminence) in an attempt by Memphis to fortify a lineup that could be championship contenders in a loaded West. Interestingly, John Hollinger, now VP of Basketball Operations for the Grizzlies and previously an ESPN analyst, skewered the Celtics for signing Green to his current contract in the 2012 offseason (Insider subscription required):

Green has only missed a game or two since inking that deal, so Boston’s gamble on his durability wound up paying off. This year, Green’s averaging a career high 17.6 points per game. Given that he’ll be replacing a depreciated Tayshaun Prince in the Memphis rotation, it’s not hard to see why Hollinger would’ve re-calibrated his opinion between then and now.
