Citing multiple league sources, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that the NFL found that the Patriots used 11 footballs that were each under-inflated by two pounds per square inch (where they’re required to be inflated at 12.5-13.5 pounds) their win over the Colts on Sunday. At this time, Mort adds, the NFL has no comment. This would seem to be at such an extreme level that it was no accident, and it will be fascinating to see whether the league’s punitive measures will affect New England in the Super Bowl.
