DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings Appear to Be Done With Defense For the Year

The Sacramento Kings are here to chew gum and quit on the guy who replaced Mike Malone. And it looks like they’re all out of gum.

With 3:57 remaining in the 3rd quarter, the Kings trailed the Warriors, 83-66, with Stephen Curry taking the ball out of bounds. Sacramento just stood there  – specifically, DeMarcus Cousins with his hands on his knees – as Marreese Speights went in for an uncontested alley-oop dunk. There was some shrugging. Some disinterest. Lots of confusion.

The only possible reason for Tyrone Corbin to finish the season as the Kings’ coach is because it would be embarrassing to fire two coaches in the same season. Has that ever happened? If anyone can do it, it is the Kings.
