Jim Harbaugh's Thought of the Day: Harmless Wisdom or Shots Fired At Ohio State?

Mike Weber, a four-star running back from Detroit, chose Ohio State over Michigan on National Signing Day. The next day Buckeyes running back coach Stan Drayton accepted a job with the Chicago Bears.

After the move was announced, Weber tweeted his disappointment.

In an interview with Cleveland.com, Weber’s high school coach said the running back feels misled by Ohio State. Today it appears Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh capitalized on this news to deliver a shot at his neighbors to the south.

Very subtle. Of course, there is a chance Harbaugh is just a giant Sir Walter Scott fan and the timing of such a lofty thought is purely coincidental.

UPDATE: Ohio State’s director of player personnel Mark Pantoni seems to think it was no accident and has a solid rebuttal.

Subtweets. They’re exactly what the once-fierce rivalry was missing during the Brady Hoke years.

It would have been a real treat had Twitter been around during the Bo Schembechler-Woody Hayes era. Constant entertainment.
