DeMarcus Cousins scored 28 points including the game-winning buzzer-beater in an 85-83 win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. Boogie hit a tough leaning jumper that got a tremendous shooter’s bounce before dropping. If not for Anthony Davis’ heroics on Friday night, it would have been the best NBA game-winning buzzer-beater by a former Kentucky big man of the weekend. Either way, this emotional win must have felt good for Cousins and the struggling team. Or not.

The rumors that Cousins is referring to are the ones that he and his camp are blocking the hiring of George Karl as the next Kings’ coach.

Boogie is an emotional guy and the Kings are currently suffering through their 9th straight losing season. (His fifth.) George Karl – or whoever replaces Ty Corbin – will have his work cut out for him.
