Bracket Breakdown, February 15: ACC Upsets Shake Up Bubble

Here are my projected seed lines and NCAA tournament field for February 15th. I was in Indianapolis for the mock selection exercise (more on that tomorrow) so I didn’t have this ready for Friday since I was busy working on brackets. (Here’s a link to the full bracket that came out of that).

Of course, my bracket projections are based on where I think teams will end up, including all future scheduled games and conference tournament, and then how the committee will view those teams in March. My bracket remains pretty similar to the previous week, but there was a shakeup at the bubble. I expect that to be the case through Selection Sunday.

NC State (over Louisville) and Pittsburgh (over North Carolina) both got wins that boost them up. I suspect if we did that same mock exercise after those results, the teams barely getting in would change. I’ve got NC State now projected in the field and Pittsburgh just out.
