Anonymous Scout Butchered the Second Law of Thermodynamics While Ripping on Jameis Winston

Bob McGinn’s massive anonymous scout’s take on several top draft prospects is again out, and again does not disappoint when it comes to hilarity. In the past, we’ve seen an anonymous scout refer to Matt Kalil as having “a real sense of entitlement,” and in the past, both Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers were the subject of barbs.

I’m not sure, however, that any anonymous scout has ever resorted to the second law of thermodynamics in an attempt to justify a character concern. Jameis Winston brings out the best (worst?)

"“Someone will take him in the first round, but how could you even let that guy in the building?” another scout said. “The second law of thermodynamics basically is the more ways something can happen, the more likely it is to happen. That’s true of players. The more ways they can (expletive) up, the more chances they (expletive) up. This guy’s got a lot of stuff that would lean him more likely to be a bust than a good player.”"

Yeah, that’s not what the second law of thermodynamics basically says, but this scout’s take on entropy is quite refreshing.

Here’s a different adaptation of the second law of thermodynamics as it applies to draft silly season. Knowledge can never pass from a dumber person to a smarter person, without some other outside force/change. Jameis Winston’s off-the-field issues are not exactly a secret. It doesn’t take some dumb scout super codebook to comment on that. Yet here we are, and we only get dumber.

Some other parts worth noting as well. On Melvin Gordon: “He’s good, but against those slow (expletive) Big Ten guys,” said another scout. “That’s what bothers me a little bit.”

It’s almost like there is no tape of Melvin Gordon against LSU and Auburn.

On Malcom Brown: “Typical Texas guy,” said one scout. “Has talent but little bit of an underachiever.”

Earl Thomas, please shut this fool down like he was asking a dumb question at the Super Bowl media day. Keep doing you, Mr. Anonymous Scout.
