NCAA Says It Did Not Declare Baylor Football Player Silas Nacita Ineligible

Silas Nacita tweeted out earlier today that he was declared ineligible by the NCAA, purportedly because he was homeless and accepted a place to stay from a “close family friend.” Shawn Oakman tweeted out something similar.

The NCAA, though, took to social media to respond and say that it did not declare the Baylor football player ineligible. As Dan Wolken points out, there is info missing, and the story as told by Nacita would not be a violation.
