Baylor's 400-Pound Lineman LaQuan McGowan Practicing at Fullback and Tight End
LaQuan McGowan scored a delightful fat guy touchdown for Baylor in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Day. Back then, McGowan was listed at 6’7″, 390-pounds. Now, during Baylor spring practices, McGowan is listed at 410-pounds and is practicing at fullback and tight end. Via The Dallas Morning News:
"“The hardest thing is practicing with him, because we don’t want to get anyone injured. But we’ve got three games in non-conference to see what he can do,” Briles said. With his size and struggles with conditioning, he’ll probably be brought in for special packages behind incumbent starter Tre’Von Armstead."
I am both thrilled to see this and terrified for what could happen to the non-Big 12 cornerback who tries to tackle McGowan.
