Vince Wilfork is done with the Patriots after 11 glorious seasons, the defensive tackle tweeted this morning. Wilfork says the team let him know they will not be picking up his option, thus saving them some money headed into free agency. When you have to pay defensive backs like Darrelle Revis and Devin McCourty, you need to free up money. It’s not personal, just business.

Wilfork is 33, and will no-doubt still has a couple years left in the NFL. He was 1st team All-Pro in 2012, and was named to the Pro Bowl five times.
