California High Schooler Wins State Semifinal with Sensational 30-Yard Half Volley

Garrett Amador smacked in this ridiculous 30-yard half volley to help his California high school team, Servite, advance to the state semifinals. The clean, pure hit into the upper 90 is fantastic. The reaction by the kid filming it — “No way, oh my goodness” — is great. Even the modified Fernando Torres celebration is great. In short, everything about this goal is great aside from the fact there isn’t another angle of it to relish and enjoy. Alas.
