Marshawn Lynch will return to the Seahawks next season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. It’s a little bit surprising that the running back did not play the will-he-or-won’t-he game deeper into the offseason. It’s a solid bet there will be another full year of Lynch’s brand-building cat-and-mouse routine with the media, which should continue to foster profound opinions on the regular. As for the Seahawks, they can breathe a sigh of relief that the cornerstone of their offensive gameplan — he had 17 touchdowns and averaged 4.66 yards per carry — will be back and they will not have to rework what they do on that side of the ball.

UPDATE: According to John Clayton, it’s a one-year deal for $11 million
