Rory McIlroy is on the cover of Golf Digest Masters preview portraying Michelangelo’s iconic David statue – with a kilt. Even though McIlroy has yet to claim a Masters win, the 25-year-old does have 4 major championship wins to his name: a U.S. Open, 2 PGA Championships, and The Open Championship. Winning the Masters would give Rory a career grand slam and set him apart from other great golfers that have major championship wins. He would join greats like Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Gene Sarazen*. It won’t be an easy task for McIlroy, who has struggled at Augusta National and has only 1 top 10 finish. Many young golfers are hungry for a win and are playing great golf this season.

*Bobby Jones is the only golfer to ever complete a grand slam, and he did so in in 1930 during the pre-Masters era by winning the U.S. Open, The Open Championship, U.S. Amateur, and British Amateur.
