Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard Sends Inspiring Message from Hospital

Jamie Pollard, the Iowa State Athletic Director, underwent open heart bypass surgery earlier this week after he suffered a heart attack while watching his daughters compete in a track event. Earlier today, Pollard tweeted:

This was followed up by the video (at the top of the page), in which Pollard said, “I really wish I could be at the Power and Light District this afternoon, and in the Sprint Center tonight. Although I can’t be there physically, I will be there emotionally. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers. I will be back. Go Cyclones.”
