Jake Willsey is a sophomore infielder for the Tulane Green Wave. Down 2 in the bottom of the 7th to Xavier, Willsey singled to put runners on the corners. With two outs, senior John Gandolfo, roped one over the head of the second baseman. Willsey was waved home and the throw from the outfield beat him to the catcher so he did what any athletic, quick-thinking young man would do – he hurdled the catcher.

That poor catcher was dumbstruck, looking to the umpire as Willsey scrambled back to touch the plate and tie the game. He acted like he thought he got the tag (maybe he did? Impossible to tell from this angle.) while his teammates pleaded with him to tag Willsey. The Green Wave eventually won 3-2 in the 10th.
