"Epic Football Fail" Resurfaces Every Few Years Like Cicadas, But With Lower Quality Video

That’s a crazy epic football fail from a junior varsity Texas high school football game in 2009. That video showed up on Reddit’s sports page today. Of course, it wasn’t the original from 2009. If it looks familiar, that’s because it was a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy that was uploaded in September 2014. Over the last five years the video has gotten smaller and shittier and given a worse soundtrack.

The earliest upload I can find is the one at the top of the post from September 17, 2009. That puts it right around the time that the play actually occurred and is probably the original. We know that because Yahoo’s Prep Rally tracked down someone from the game way back in 2010 when the video was making the rounds for the second time under a since-deleted upload.
