Today at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain was “El Clásico” — arguably the biggest and most world-renowned Soccer rivalry in the world, between Barcelona and Real Madrid

In addition to the bad blood, controlling-interest in the La Liga Title was at stake — as the two sides were separated, at the top of the table, by only 1 point.

Whether you enjoy soccer, or not, you can’t help but appreciate the pageantry of the moment — every time these two sides square off.

Even before the perennial superstars (Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez) got to showcase their talents, the Camp Nou faithful put on a dazzling display before the match started, showing off an interactive mosaic that stretched across the entire length of the pitch.

As for the game itself: “El Clásico” lived up to its name.

The immortal Lionel Messi set up Jérémy Mathieu with this ridiculous dime pass to put the home team up 1-0

Madrid responded immediately, as Cristiano Ronaldo was on the receiving end of this gorgeous back-heel assist from Karim Benzema

Gareth Bale then seemingly put Real Madrid in front with this sliding shot…

But, the goal was ultimately disallowed because Ronaldo was ruled offsides before his head flick assist.

Shortly after Real Madrid was done throwing a temper tantrum re: the offsides ruling, Luis Suarez scored the game-winner…

Barcelona is now a full four points clear of Real, and one might say that Luis Suarez took a huge bite out of Madrid’s League Title chances tonight…

…No need to boo me off the stage, I’ll show myself out.
