Juan Mata put Manchester United up 2-0 on Liverpool with a goal in the 59th minute. That’s the driest possible way to describe the fantastic, aerial, scissoring kick that finished off a nice pass from Angel Di Maria. It was Mata’s second goal of the game.

Daniel Sturridge pulled one back for Liverpool in the 69th minute to make it 2-1.

Earlier in the half Steven Gerrard earned a straight red card for a challenge on Ander Herrera. The Liverpool captain entered at halftime and spent all of 43 seconds on the field before the incident.

This is one of those EPL games full of non-stop drama and incident that is, if nothing else, quite entertaining.
