Buffalo Sabres Fan Celebrates Loss, As Draft Process Continues Ruining Sports

The Arizona Coyotes beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 in overtime last night. That fellow in the Sabres jersey on the right pounding on the glass is cheering the losing goal. That loss opened up a six-point gap between the Coyotes and Sabres for worst record in the NHL and best odds of getting the No. 1 overall draft pick.

This is awful, and the worst part is rooting against his own team is the smart play there. In the NBA a GM would be pilloried for not tanking to maximize draft prospects. Fans shouldn’t have to interact with their teams like this. Reform the draft process. Stop incentivizing losing.
