LeVeon Bell, one of the best running backs in the NFL last season, has been suspended the first three games of the 2015 season for substance abuse.

There are no details yet about what the substance was, but Bell is appealing, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Bell exploded last season for 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns for the Steelers in just his second year in the league, but suffered an injury in the regular season finale and had to miss their playoff game against the Ravens. Without him, the Steelers lost.

In August of 2014, Bell and then-teammate LeGarrette Blount were arrested after police found them in a car together with marijuana. Bell told police, “I didn’t know you could get a DUI for being high.
