James Hahn’s ball moved as he addressed it on the first green of the second round of the Masters yesterday. Hahn stepped back and called a one-stroke penalty on himself. He ended up missing the cut by one stroke. Would anyone have even noticed if he hadn’t called the penalty? So many what-ifs for the 33-year old from South Korea.

Before you think Hahn takes himself and the game way too seriously, remember he’s the guy who broke out 20-seconds of Gangnam Style after he made a birdie at the Waste Management Open a couple years ago. In February, he won his first tournament, the Northern Trust Open. You might remember his story. He was the guy who once had $200 to his name and worked at Nordstrom’s while he tried to make it in golf. Maybe that’s the kind of thing that makes you humble and realize missing the cut at the Masters by a stroke not seem so important.
