Johnny Manziel Reportedly Released From Rehab
By Kyle Koster
Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been released from a drug and alcohol treatment facility, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Manziel entered the facility on Jan. 28 to “be a better family member, friend and teammate,” according to a statement released by his family attorney.
The former Heisman Trophy winner was spotted in few times in public during his two-month stay. He played golf with his family over Easter and visited children in the hospital earlier this week.
The Browns expect Manziel to attend offseason workouts later this month.
The nature of his treatment is unknown but several people close to Manziel have said he’s doing well and ready to get back on a football field.
Manziel is expected to compete with Josh McCown for the Browns starting job.
