New Video Appears to Show NYPD Officer Striking Thabo Sefolosha With Baton

TMZ has obtained a new video of Thabo Sefolosha getting arrested outside of a New York club earlier this week after Chris Copeland was stabbed, and it appears to show the Hawks forward getting struck with a baton. Though we still can’t see everything that caused this, the force doesn’t seem like it was necessary at that point. Sefolosha broke his leg in the scuffle and is out for the season.

As Bomani Jones said on his radio show on Friday night, it’s weird that this hasn’t been a bigger story. He wondered what the media firestorm would be like if it were a Knicks rotation player who was out for the playoffs when they were a no. 1 seed after this type of incident.
