Jeopardy! offered a category on the New England Patriots Wednesday night. The questions/answers included the usual suspects, including Tom Brady and Bill Parcells. The writers also made a reference to Deflategate/Ballghazi.

So … if you’re scoring at home Jeopardy! aired a clue about the controversy on its April 15 show. Meanwhile the league itself hasn’t made any indication its close to releasing Ted Wells investigation about the status of the balls used during the Patriots AFC Championship Game win over the Colts any time soon. Bear in mind Jeopardy! episodes are usually taped around two months in advance, too.

Oh right, the AFC Championship Game took place on Jan. 18.

And the 2015 NFL Draft commences on April 30.

Ryan Glasspiegel wrote about the NFL dragging its heels on the investigation, wondering if the league wants everyone to forget about it. At this rate expect Roger Goodell to release the report on July 3 — which falls on a Friday this year.

If you care about the inner workings of Jeopardy! the game’s winner, Alex, has banked over $109,000 over four days of winning.
