Video: Jon Lester Attempts to Cure his "Yips" by Throwing Entire Glove to First Base

In what remains the strangest story in baseball, Chicago Cubs Ace Jon Lester is still having trouble throwing to first base.
Today, Lester fielded a come-backer — and instead of the traditional “take it out of your glove and throw it” way of getting an opposing batter out… he decided to underhand the entire glove.
To his credit, the ball appeared to stick in the webbing of his glove and he had no other choice but to do this. But, with Lester and the topic of throwing to first — where there’s smoke, there’s always going to be fire. I guess this is one way to cure the “yips” he’s currently battling, just tomahawk your entire glove. Genius, now that I think about it.
Anyways, Jon doesn’t sound worried about it — but, it’s still weird.
