Why Wouldn't the Raiders Take Marcus Mariota 4th in the NFL Draft?

* I railed against expectations from sports fans. Kris Bryant and the Cavs were prominently featured.
* Cinesport’s Noah Coslov and I debated the Knicks/76ers trading their top pick for Boogie Cousins. You know my stance. Noah makes some valid points about the cap going up.
* ESPN NFL draft guy Chris Sprow, a fountain of information, floated an interesting theory: Why wouldn’t the Raiders draft Mariota 4th? David Carr was a second round pick and just OK last year. And this line about the Jags was great.
* Field Yates, who worked with the Chiefs and the Patriots and is now at ESPN, is not a mock draft fan, because front offices don’t say, “that’s a 5th round guy.” You get smarter listening to him. Also, we talked Chip Kelly before the Tebow move.
