Jason Garcia threw behind Jose Bautista in the seventh inning on Wednesday night during the Toronto-Baltimore game. Bautista didn’t take too kindly to the act and gave Garcia a stare. A couple of pitches later he got his revenge when he demolished a line-drive home run and stood there and watched the ball fly out.

Bautista appreciating his home run with a long stare apparently didn’t sit well with Ryan Flaherty and the two exchanged words as Bautista rounded second base.

After finishing the inning, Bautista and Adam Jones exchanged words because everything in baseball is done intentionally to piss the other team off. Bautista told reporters that Jones told him that his reaction was “bush league.” He went on to say he replied, “What’s bush league is you throwing behind my head.”

As I once said on a podcast that five people listen to, if you throw behind or at a guy and he then hits a home run off of you, expect a stare.
