Sunderland Winger Adam Johnson Charged with Sexual Activity with Teen

Sunderland winger Adam Johnson was charged, per the BBC, with “three counts of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.” The 27-year-old former England international was arrested on March 2nd and initially suspended from team activities, but returned to the field on March 21st. His last appearance came on April 11th. Johnson is schedule to appear in court on May 20th.

Johnson played 12 times for England, scoring twice during those appearances. His last appearance for the National Team came in 2012.
