Jon Jones is scheduled to defend his light heavyweight title at UFC 187 on May 23rd. Will he be there? You’ll have to find him to ask him. Just like Albuquerque police are trying to find Jones to ask him about a weekend hit-and-run involving pregnant female victim in another car. Rumors are flying and all we really know right now is that the UFC champion has yet to surface.

UPDATE: According to TMZ, an off-duty police officer saw a man flee the scene of the accident on foot and believes it was Jones. The car was a rental and contained documents with Jones’ name.

UPDATE 2: Marijuana and a pipe was found in the car according to TMZ. A witness says he went back to the car for money.

Via CABQ.gov:

"A pregnant female in her 20s, who was the driver of a separate vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. Officers attempted to contact Mr. Jones at his residence Sunday evening, but were unsuccessful. We have also reached out to his lawyer, but as of now, have not heard back."

This is not Jones first time in trouble – legal or otherwise. In 2012, he was arrested for DWI after wrapping his Bentley around a pole in Binghamton, NY. Jones spent a day in rehab earlier this year after testing positive for cocaine in a drug test that took place before his last fight. While nothing is confirmed – Jones was just upgraded from “wanted for questioning” to “suspect” – you can guess the rumors swirling around the Internet right now.

Finally, here’s a video Jones uploaded to Instagram earlier this month where he says is ready for a fast car again, having “matured a lot since the Bentley.” (Jones also famously said, “You never have to worry about me with a DWI or doing something crazy,” about a month before his DWI.) No clue what Jones was driving this weekend, but here’s the new Corvette he purchased a couple weeks ago.
