Floyd Mayweather Didn't Study A Lot of Film, Doesn't Know A Lot About Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather Jr. showed up for one of the many fight week media events today. There was a marching band involved. Mayweather held a media scrum where ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap worked his way to the front of the line to ask Mayweather a few questions about his upcoming bout with Manny Pacquiao.

Schaap asked about Mayweather’s preparation for the fight: “You’ve studied a lot of film. You know a lot about him,” to which Mayweather explained, “Um, I didn’t study a lot of film. I don’t know a lot about him.”

Apparently, Schaap doesn’t know a lot about what Mayweather knows a lot about. And speaking of being ill-prepared, going into this fight blind seems kind of dumb, even for a guy who bets the first half over in college basketball games. I think this might be some gamesmanship on Mayweather’s part. What a lovable character.
