Liverpool Fans Fly 'Rodgers Out' Banner Over Anfield

In a time-honored European soccer tradition, angry Liverpool fans hired a plane to fly a banner over Anfield today during the Reds match with QPR. The message was clear: Brendan Rodgers out, former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez in. I’d guess there are more cost-effective ways to voice your displeasure or try to influence the club owners.

Liverpool spent roughly $150 million on new players this summer after selling Luis Suarez to Barcelona shortly after the World Cup. The new players have been mostly misses, namely Dejan Lovren in the center of defense. Suffice to say, the thought of Rodgers over-seeing another summer of spending, saying nothing of the unresolved Raheem Sterling contract situation, doesn’t sit well with many Reds’ fans.
