Boomer and Carton Kept Badgering Isiah Thomas About Whether He's Angling for a Knicks Return

Isiah Thomas, who was announced as President of the New York Liberty on Tuesday, was a guest on Boomer and Carton this morning. The interview was pretty awkward from the get-go, as the hosts kept badgering him about whether all of this is a sham to ease him back into the Knicks organization (whether or not this is the case, it was everybody’s first thought, right?). Isiah said all the right things about the women’s game, and denied the accusations.

Later in the interview, Isiah said that he had not spoken to Phil Jackson at all throughout the process of getting the Liberty job, and was not sure when the current Knicks president became aware that he was getting brought back into the building.
