D.J. Vanderwerf is a Three-Sport High School Athlete With a Prosthetic Leg

D.J. Vanderwerf had his left foot amputated when he was 9-months old. Vanderwerf has been walking with a prosthesis since he was 15-months old. These days he’s a 3-sport star for Sweetwater High School in Tennessee. USA TODAY HSS profiled Vanderwerf in November.
