A-Rod hit his 661st home run this evening, and is now fourth all-time in Major League history, trailing just Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Barry Bonds. He got a curtain call from the Yankee Stadium faithful, which should be fodder for some profoundly scolding columns.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman has previously said that A-Rod will not be entitled to a bonus incentive for this milestone that was in his contract, and any fallout on that from here on out will be a fun story to follow for baseball labor policy enthusiasts.
