Speaking on HBO over the weekend, Max Kellerman addressed the idea that Manny Pacquaio should have gotten shoulder surgery before the fight against Floyd Mayweather, which would have postponed the fight for a year. He said that Pacquaio’s camp had cleared a Toradol shot (which does pose some bodily risk) with Mayweather’s preferred drug testing body, only to have it kiboshed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for what essentially amounted to a “clerical error.” Boxing sure could use some reform.
