Pimlico Restrooms Reportedly Stop Working Before Preakness

The Preakness race is in about two hours. Spectators at Pimlico were met with an unpleasant surprise this afternoon when restrooms in the grandstand reportedly went out of order. Melissa Hoppert of the New York Times wrote, in a series of tweets:

"And just like that, the Pimlico bathrooms stopped working. I’m told there’s a major water leak 2 miles from here. Forget the drunks, I hope the horses have water. The masses are getting restless. “How about I go right in this stair well,” an angry woman just said. I bet no one ever thought the infield, with its army of port o potties, would be the best ticket in town. It’s about to pour too. Good times at the #Preakness."

Sounds like a lovely Saturday.
