Miss America, Kira Kazantsev, Loves Golf and was Sponsored When She was 12

Miss America, Kira Kazantsev, has been playing a lot of golf lately. Kazantsev played in the BMW Charity Pro-Am in South Carolina last weekend. She claims it put more pressure on her than the pageant:

"“This was more nerve-wracking for me than competing in Miss America,” said Kazantsev, one of only three women playing the event. “I was completely prepared for (Miss America) and I went in to just have a good time and had the perfect mindset, but for this, golf isn’t necessarily my Miss America, so it’s something I need to work a little harder at.”"

According to her pageant page, the 23-year-old was a Nike-sponsored player at a young age.

"“I was a Nike-sponsored golfer at 12. My dad used golf to bond with me at a young age and then, I actually ended up being really good at it.”"
