Young Tigers Fan Cries After Catching Ben Zobrist Grand Slam

There’s nothing quite like the thrill out catching a ball at a baseball game, right? Tuesday night at Comerica Park in Detroit this young fan snagged a Ben Zobrist home run into the right field seat and appeared quite proud of himself … until he realized the grand slam put Oakland ahead in the seventh inning. Once that realization sets in, the young fan reacts quite despondently.

As a Tigers fan writing this I can totally relate. The team has lost five straight, looking like hot garbage in the process.

If nothing else the kid didn’t throw the ball back onto the field, so he’ll have it as a souvenir … and a couple dozen blog posts for posterity’s sake.
